Hello!
Every day, I step into my role as a midwife with a profound sense of purpose, knowing firsthand how transformative individualized, holistic support can be. My path to midwifery was not linear; it was shaped by my lived experiences, challenges, and a deep commitment to providing the kind of care I once wished for myself.
After the birth of my third born in 2004, I entered into birth work as a full-spectrum doula. As I worked with birthing families throughout the years, I witnessed the stark disparities in perinatal health care + realized that I wanted to expand my role beyond doula support. With my children now grown, I saw the opportunity to provide not just emotional + physical support but also clinical expertise.
This awareness led me to pursue midwifery, allowing me to offer comprehensive, evidence-informed care throughout the reproductive journey. In 2023, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from the Midwives College of Utah. I then passed the national NARM exam to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and obtained my California midwifery license (LM) under the Medical Board of California.
As a member of the Birth Network of Santa Cruz and the California Association of Licensed Midwives, I’m committed to education, advocacy, + expanding access to midwifery care. I’m certified in Neonatal Resuscitation + Basic Life Support. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Midwifery to deepen my knowledge and further support the Midwives Model of Care. I also serve as a House Mentor at Midwives College of Utah and will begin teaching there in May 2025.
